Care & Maintenance
Each Pearls & Pins piece is hand-painted, hand-finished and completely one of a kind. Every item is created with care and sealed to ensure durability, but due to the nature of handcrafted designs, a little extra care is needed to keep your piece looking its best.
Suitcases
All suitcases are hand-painted and finished with a protective varnish to help seal the design and make it resistant to chipping and light wear. They are suitable for travel and built to last, however they should still be handled with care.
Please be aware that once your suitcase is in use, especially during travel, it may be subject to handling by airlines, airports and baggage systems. Pearls & Pins is not responsible for any damage, scratches, or wear caused after purchase, including damage caused during transit or by airline handling.
For added protection, I recommend using a protective suitcase cover or wrapping your suitcase before airport travel to help preserve the design.
While every effort is made to ensure durability, it is important to treat your suitcase with care and be mindful that it is a custom, hand-finished piece.
Caps
Caps are hand-painted, making each one completely unique. To maintain the design, avoid excessive bending, scrubbing or machine washing.
Spot clean only using a damp cloth and mild detergent if needed. Avoid heavy rain or prolonged exposure to water, and allow to air dry naturally.
Jackets
Jackets are hand-painted and carefully finished, making each one completely unique. Spot clean where possible, or gently hand wash in cold water if needed. Avoid scrubbing painted areas.
Do not tumble dry. Allow to air dry and store hanging to protect the structure and design.
General Care
All items should be treated as wearable art. Avoid excessive friction, scratching or harsh conditions where possible. Store in a cool, dry place and handle with care to preserve the design and finish.
