Pearls & Pins was born from a single spark - a chance encounter with a vintage blazer in a thrift store, completely covered in pins. There was something about it that stopped me in my tracks - it felt alive, full of personality and history. That one piece made me realise how clothing can hold stories, memories, and emotions.

From that moment, I became obsessed with the idea of giving denim a new life. What started as a small creative experiment soon turned into something much bigger - a brand built around self-expression, nostalgia, and individuality.

Each Pearls & Pins jacket begins its life as a second-hand denim piece, carefully chosen for its quality and character. From there, it becomes a blank canvas for creativity - layered with hand-painted designs, delicate embroidery, and hours of beading and embellishment. On average, a jacket takes around 7 days to create, but the most detailed pieces can take up to two weeks. Every stitch, brushstroke, and bead is placed by hand, making each one entirely unique.

No two jackets will ever be the same - because no two people are.

Each piece is designed to reflect the personality of its wearer — whether it’s loud and sparkly, soft and floral, or bold and full of colour. Pearls & Pins celebrates individuality and the beauty of standing out unapologetically.

Meet the Maker

Hi, I’m Leona - the face, hands, and imagination behind Pearls & Pins.

I’m an actress in training, currently studying at drama school, and I’ve always been drawn to creativity in all its forms - performance, fashion, and art.

I’ve loved fashion for as long as I can remember. I used to spend hours customising clothes, sketching ideas, and collecting vintage pieces, but I never truly did anything with it - until now.

Art was something I always connected with in school, but it wasn’t until recently that I found a way to bring it back into my life. Pearls & Pins became that perfect blend of everything I love — storytelling, design, and individuality.

Every jacket I make feels like a little performance of its own - expressive, bold, and full of character. Whether I’m painting stars, stitching sequins, or layering beads, I want each piece to feel personal - like it was made just for you.

For me, Pearls & Pins isn’t just about fashion; it’s about creativity with soul — about turning something old into something full of life again, and helping people wear their stories proudly.
